Three reasons why dining out is marvelous at The Mason’s Table

When Singapore hit a record high of 195 cases in a single day, it will be inevitable that tighter measures regarding the restrictions will come in. As expected, we have to scramble to find last minute deals before our freedom to dine in will be gone for a month or so. I decided not to procrastinate like I used to and relish the final dine in priviledge that we often take for granted.

My experience can be summed up in three beneficial effects I personally felt on the last day of our freedom to find in. First, the marvelous thing was that the restaurant we chose was a hidden gem in its idyllic surroundings, second the food was delicious and third value for money.

Idyllic Surroundings

My friend and I met up at Clarke Quay and using the GPS, we managed to locate Coleman Street in less than 10 minutes. Walking down to Coleman Street, we were surrounded by this quiet idyllic surroundings where although the restaurant is located in the heart of the city , we felt that we could escape the hustle and bustle of noise and crowds. We were awed by the Gothic architecture which was a historical gem with a beautiful porch that lures us into the restaurant.

Value for Money

My friend suggested going down to The Mason Table at Coleman Street as they have 50% off the original price if we get down by 4 pm. My schedule fits just nicely as I only work at 7 pm. When i got down to take a peek at the menu, the price of $9 for vongole was like no other. As I have a soft spot for clams, I managed to dig out the first clam and to my pleasant surprise it went to 30 clams !

Marvelous Taste

With such a marvelous deal, we decided to order chicken and we were in for gastronomical delight. Not only was the food served fast and fresh, the restaurant staff were prompt and good nature offering suggestions like sorbet for dessert. Despite being the cheapest in the menu, the sorbet was flavorful and well made.

All in all, we managed to get $5 off our combined overall bill as The Mason Table was under the Eatigo app. Knowing our wallets are taken care off, I felt that our stomachs and hearts are full with this final day of dine in.
